The new MUSC Options health plan, available during the October enrollment period, has a coverage never before available under any other State plan: Support for weight management services, at the MUSC Weight Management Center.

Qualifying MUSC Options enrollees who successfully complete the Weight Management Center’s First Step or HealthFast programs and keep their weight off for 12 months will receive reimbursement for 50 percent of the program costs.

As is the case for all MUSC employees in all plans, those program costs are already reduced with your employee discount. And with payroll deduction to spread the costs throughout the year, with no down payment, these programs are even more affordable. (Enrollees must meet minimum weight criteria for coverage. Costs of nutrition supplement products are not included.)
