Ed. partnership senior presents study

Kwanza Lincoln, Charleston Academic Magnet High School senior, recently completed a national comparative analysis study on the inclusion of risk communication skills in undergraduate engineering curriculum programs.

The engineering study, which encompassed all U.S. undergraduate schools of engineering accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, was the culmination of an educational partnership between the high school and the MUSC Environmental Hazards Assessment Program’s (EHAP) Division of Development and Training.

The results of the study were recently presented by Lincoln to a panel of EHAP faculty, the school’s officials and observers. Jan Temple, Ph.D., who spearheaded the concept of the project, is expected to encompass parts of the study in ongoing EHAP Development and Training Division initiatives.
