Web pages offer information on room reservations

A kind of “shopper’s guide” to room reservations at MUSC has been launched on the university’s website, giving those interested in using any of the 42 spaces available for special events an opportunity to know what’s available and what they’re getting.

During the past few months, Office of Enrollment Services’ Larry Owens and other members of the Enrollment Services staff have created the web pages and are still in the process of improving the service the pages offer.

“These web pages are designed to show photographs of the rooms and provide information about their size and capacity, any equipment they include and restrictions on their use,” Owens said. Locations available for special events also include the Library/Administration Building lobby and portico and the area within the university’s horseshoe entrance.

The web pages contain information on who to contact to reserve space, instructions on how to reserve audio-visual and distance learning equipment, room locations and any costs associated with their use and any Americans for Disabilities Act accessibility.

The room reservation web pages can be found by choosing the “University Administration” category on the MUSC home page and following “Enrollment Services” to “Registration and Records.” Under “Registration and Records,” “Reserving Rooms and AV Equipment” can be found. Those wishing to go directly to the page can find it at <http://www2.musc.edu/ES/rooms/rooms_index.html> Owens said that continued development of the web pages will make them more interactive, allowing people to access room reservation forms to reserve spaces or equipment online.
