Resource center offers two workstations

MUSC Library and Learning Resource Center has announced the availability of two workstations devoted to the patient and clinical information system known as ClinLAN 3.1. The workstations are located on the second and third floors of the Library and Administration Building.

“ClinLAN is a system that manages the network and allows users the opportunity to access multiple applications from any computer,” said Todd D. Detar, D.O., assistant professor of family medicine. Detar praises the placement of these ClinLAN workstations in the library because of its central campus location and accessibility during library hours.

The Windows-based workstations also include other applications including OACIS, STATLAN and GroupWise 5.2 e-mail accounts. Users must have their own accounts and passwords to operate computers and be familiar with the programs prior to use.

For more information on the ClinLAN workstation at the library, call 792-2371.
