Grief Recovery Program offered by Hospice

The holiday season can be  difficult for those grieving the loss of a loved one. To help the bereaved work through their grief and begin the healing process, Hospice of Charleston is offering a six-week Grief Recovery Program for adults, with a focus on coping with grief during the holidays.

The weekly meetings will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  each Tuesday beginning Nov. 2 through Dec. 7 at Essex Village Church of Christ, West Ashley.

Participants will learn that while no two people grieve alike, they share many of the same feelings. Questions often include, “Is it normal to feel this way?” “How long will I feel like this?” and “What can I do to get through it?”

A preadmission interview is required by Oct. 29 and the requested donation for the program is $40.

For more information or to receive an application, call Carol Willis or Angie Olsen at Hospice of Charleston, at 529-3100.
