Pharmacy students sponsor holiday gift giving tree

College of Pharmacy students are working to provide a merry Christmas to children who may not receive any gifts this year.

Pharmacy students have placed trees in the lobbies of the Basic Science and the Administration buildings. Each tree contains the names of children who could use a little holiday cheer.

Carolina Youth Development Center (CYDC), an umbrella organization that supervises a shelter for children, provided a list of names and gift requests. CYDC also included some basic needs for their shelters, such as socks, pillows and school supplies.
Students and employees who want to be involved in the giving tree may choose a gift tag (in the shape of a bear) from one of the trees and purchase the gift request.

Gifts must be returned in a gift bag with the bear tag attached and turned in by noon on Friday, Dec. 10 to the Harper Student Center, room 438. An MUSC Santa will deliver the gifts to CYDC.
