Faculty and students nominated 38 faculty members to be considered for this year's Health Sciences Foundation Teaching Excellence Awards. The awards will be presented during commencement week in May. A review committee composed of faculty representatives from each college, the general faculty, and the Student Government Association will select the recipients. Up to three awards will be presented from the following categories: Educator-Mentor, for excellence in mentoring and serving as a role model for students in clinical or research activities; Educator-Lecturer, for excellence in classroom teaching; and Developing Teacher, for excellence in teaching by a junior faculty member.
