Currents

The recent close call with Hurricane Dennis was our first test of this year's storm season. I was particularly pleased with the overall state of readiness and preparedness demonstrated throughout the Medical Center.

Rob Fowler, meteorologist with WCBD-TV, Channel 2, recently reported that an active storm season is expected (Currents, July 13). Fowler urged employees who must be on the job during a hurricane to devise a family emergency plan in advance.

During final preparation for Hurricane Dennis, it became evident that some employees did not have the emergency worker tag that needs to be displayed in vehicles, hung on the rearview mirror.  Any managers needing more tags for employees should contact Al Nesmith's office at 792-6902.
