Meet...Jonathan

Name:  Jonathan Coultas.

Department: Education Technology Lab.

Born: Yorkshire, England.

Family: Mom and Dad are back in England.

Favorite food: Rotisserie chicken.

Favorite restaurant: Blossom's.

Favorite TV Channel: BBC-America.

What do you enjoy the most about your job? I enjoy making the QuickTime movies, digital videos that are needed for other departments as teaching aids.

What is your biggest challenge? Trying to find time to learn to use new software. It's hard to keep up with all the new technology.

Accomplishment you are most proud of: The first CD-Rom I developed, that was really exciting!

If you could trade places with someone for a day: I would trade with David Beckham, he plays with Manchester United, the English Premier League.

What do you do in your free time: I play soccer, tennis, golf; I am the assistant coach of the U14—Classic Team of the Carolina Girls Soccer Association.

Dream vacation: I'd like to go to Italy and explore all the history (I was a history major in college).

Stranded on a desert island, what three things would you want to have with you? A short-wave radio, a soccer ball and a companion.

Something people don't know about you: For 10 years, I held the S.C. High School state record for the most goals in a season: 53 goals in 14 games. Someone from my old high school in West Florence beat my record last year.

Fondest memories: Going to watch some great soccer games: when I was 11, my home team played in the National Stadium in London and my father took me to watch that game and in 1994 I got to watch the World Cup game in Orlando, Fla., between Holland and Ireland.
