Dietetic intership graduates receive100% pass rate

MUSC's Dietetic Internship has just received notice that all six of its May 2000 graduates have passed The Registration Examination for Dietitians (RD exam). These nutrition professionals join all previous Program graduates as successful first-time takers of the RD exam.

May 2000 graduates are: Beth Neumann, Annie Stuhlreyer, Peggy Fleming, Amy Edmundson, Katie Perry and Suzanne Runtz.

The nine-month MUSC internship experience follows completion of a baccalaureate degree in nutrition. Success at MUSC makes the dietetic interns eligible to sit for the RD exam.

The current class is completing their fourth month at MUSC. They have been experiencing all aspects of clinical dietetics as well as food service management and nutrition research.  After the Christmas/New Year’s holiday the interns will begin rotations in ambulatory clinics and community nutrition.

The dietetic internship is sponsored by the College of Medicine. For more information call Joanne Milkereit, program director, 792-1454.
