Meeting of SAS Users Group slated for July 19

 The premiere meeting of the MUSC SAS Users Group (SUG) will be from noon to 1 p.m. on July 19  in room 1225 of Rutledge Tower. The topic of its first meeting, co-sponsored by Mu Sigma Rho (the National Statistics Honor Society), will be “The Magical World of SAS Macros.”

SUG is a support and networking organization for the statistical analysis system software. Its mission is to encourage collaboration among users. 

Additional meetings will be held at Rutledge Tower every third Wed-nesday of odd numbered months. Executive meetings, open to all, will be held at noon in room 1219, Rutledge Tower on the third Wednesday of even numbered months.

SAS users of all skill levels are invited to learn about the benefits of SAS Macros. The lecture will begin with the basics and explain the principles of the SAS Macro Language so the user can read existing macro code and learn to write new code. Focus will be on applying techniques to common clinical research and biomedical data structures.
