Meet...Raymond

Favorite movie: Ten Commandments.

Favorite book: Roots.

Favorite ingredient to use when you cook: Onions.

Favorite TV show: The Andy Griffith Show.

Favorite sport: I am a football fan!

What do you like most about your job: The educational part. Working with youths of the “End Results” program. I help them realize that life is precious and that they need to respect life to belong to this society.

What is your biggest challenge: Training the physicians and techs that come from various hospitals, getting them ready for their job. It’s important to respect and give it the best chance. Once we are done with them they should be able to conduct an autopsy by themselves.

Biggest accomplishment: Being married to my wife.  She’s my best friend. I met her 17 years ago in the autopsy department where we worked together.

Hobbies: I like to cook. I go fishing, crabbing, and walking.

Favorite dish to cook: Roast turkey, collard greens, macaroni and cheese casserole, homemade stuffing. We do this several times a year and every week all the boys and their families come to Sunday lunch after church.

Person I admire the most: My grandfather, he lived with us when I grew up and he helped me. He shared his wisdom and gave me good advice.

Something people don’t know about you: I’m a pretty quiet person, I meditate on things, I meditate about being a better person and how to help people.

Words of advice: “Do your best, let God handle the rest.”
