Department: Nursing. How long at MUSC: 27 years. Born: Charleston. Family: Wife, Jan and two sons: Christopher, graduate student at Notre Dame School of Architecture; and John Anthony who is in real estate. Favorite movie: The English Patient. Favorite dish to cook: Ossobucco, an Italian dish featuring veal, tomatoes and vegetables. Pet peeve: “It’s not my job!” What is your biggest challenge: Changing careers to nursing, getting used to my new co-workers! What is your biggest accomplishment: Clinical Nursing III. What do you like most about your job: Working with nice people who like to share their knowledge; I like the educational environment. Funniest thing you have seen on the job: Every day is a fun day! Guests to an imaginary dinner party: John Lennon, Ghandi, the Dalai Lama and Nikos Katazankis (the author of Zorba the Greek). What is your hobby: I like to ride one of my bicycles. Dream vacation: A train ride across Canada. Describe a perfect day: A day at home in the mountains of North Carolina (I commute from NC). Most treasured material possession: My dad’s wristwatch. Something people don’t know about you: I came in third in the State Bicycle Road Race several years ago. Words of advice: I like this quote so I’ll
