Oacis Tip of the Week

How to Salvage a deleted file:

If you need a deleted file, you can do the following before calling the Help Desk.

First, you will need to know exactly where the file was deleted (example: I:/doejane/data/wp/charts).

The file you deleted is in the charts folder. Double click on the My Computer icon. Double-click Home on DS?/I:. Find the folder you are looking for. Right click on this folder and select Salvage Files. A list of deleted files will appear, look for the file you deleted, select the file with your mouse and choose the option to salvage file.

If no files appear, you may consider looking somewhere else or call the Help Desk for a restore of the file(s). The file should now be restored in the charts folder.
