How long at MUSC: One year.

Family: I take care of two roomates (my “children!”).

Favorite book: Anything by Brett Easton Ellis, Kurt Vonnegut or Tom Robbins.

Favorite food: Baked Brie with Cranberry and Pear Relish.

Favorite restaurant: “Meritage” and “Legal Seafood” in Boston.

Favorite comic strip: “Doonesbury” and “Far Side.”

Pet peeve:  Complacency.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? Seeing my words in print.

What is your biggest personal challenge? Getting doctors/faculty to return phone calls.

Accomplishment you are most proud of: A 180-page journal I wrote on a trip to Spain.

Funniest thing you have seen on the job: I am not at liberty to reveal PR office antics.

Guests to an imaginary dinner party: The Dali Lama, Ernest Hemingway, Pele, James Cagney and my grandfather.

Vehicle that best matches your personality: An old dependable pick-up truck.

Hobbies, activities in your free time: Keeping journals and playing soccer.

Dream vacation: Snowboarding in Killington, VT.

Describe a perfect day: Sleep in, catch up on writing, cook a nice dinner and share it with a friend.
