Name: Tom Holley.

Department: Medical Records.

How long at MUSC: 3 years.

Family: Wife, Alison; daughters, Ashlyn, 4 and Hunter, 2.

Favorite TV show: M.A.S.H. - I don't watch much these days!

Favorite book: Currently, “Going to sleep on the farm,” which is my daughter's favorite. 

Favorite food: Anything that my wife prepares.

Favorite chore: Grocery shopping.

Pet peeve: Finding the toilet roll holder empty or toothpaste on the outside of the tube.

Hobbies, activities in your free time: Hunting, fishing, woodworking.

Accomplishment you are most proud of: Our children having their mother at home.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Having a staff that takes pride in their work.

Achievement that has given you the most satisfaction: Making records more accessible to clinicians through electronic imaging. Seeing the reduction of volumes of paperwork that were in storage to scanned images on a disk has also been satisfying.

Most treasured possession: My wedding band.

Personality trait you admire in others: Optimism.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do? Take the family to the beach, cook out hot dogs for lunch then watch a movie with my wife while the children sleep.

Something people don't know about you: I played handbells in a musical group that performed in St. Peter's Square and inside the Vatican in Rome, Italy.
