The department offers three fully accredited graduate degree programs: Communication Sciences and Disorders, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. There are 21 full-time faculty and 329 students.

The university seeks a senior, nationally recognized individual with administrative experience. Candidates should have an earned doctorate in a profession or discipline related to rehabilitation sciences (e.g., behavioral sciences, physiology, psychology, otolaryngology, rehabilitation). Candidates must have strong leadership skills and possess the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, staff members, clinicians, and administrators throughout the university and the Medical Center. A scientist-practitioner who embraces scholarship and teaching is preferred.

The ability to develop liaison and cooperative efforts with other colleges and departments of the university, and particularly the College of Medicine will be an important requisite. Experience must be commensurate with appointment at the rank of associate or full professor. Salary is competitive.

The position is available July 1, 2002.

Review of applications will begin Dec. 15, and will continue until the position is filled.
