2001 research fellowship program accepting students MUSC's College of Graduate Studies has openings in its 2001 summer research fellowship for graduate students enrolled in the colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Health Professions.  The program goal is to introduce students in the health professions to the biomedical research field while training under a supervised laboratory setting.  Eligible students must be enrolled in a professional graduate program and possess a 2.8 GPA. In addition, students may participate in this program at any point of their coursework, but may not hold other MUSC employment throughout the duration of this award. Students will be paid $303 a week for 10-12 weeks for their work. An allowance of $350 will be provided to the host laboratory for supplies.  Applications may be downloaded at <http://www.musc.edu/idp/> or hardcopies can be obtained from Hester Young, College of Graduate Studies, Room 601, Clinical Sciences Building, 792-9620.  Applications should be completed jointly with the student's research sponsor. A final progress report, presentation of the  research results and participation in University Student Research Day are required upon completion of the program.
