What do you find most rewarding about your job? Knowing that what I do helps save lives. I enjoy meeting people who work in all areas of medicine.

What is your biggest personal challenge? To allow time in my daily life; to improve myself and grow, whether it be finding time to work out or read up on the latest advances in my field.

What do you like to do in your free time: I like to fish and observe nature. I also like to garden. We live in Bonneau, on Lake Moultrie, so I like to stay home if I can.

If the Red Cross gave you a map of the world and asked you to pick a spot, where would you choose to go: I would pick a tropical island, in the Carribean—probably Grand Cayman Island if they needed someone there.

Most treasured material possession: A picture of myself holding a lion cub!

Something people don't know about you: That I am a science nerd!

Words of advice: “Don't take anything for granted; your life can change in a second!”
