2001 YES Campaign sets goal of $235,000

April 12, 2001

Dear Colleague:

You will soon receive an invitation to participate in the 2001 Yearly Employee Support (YES) Campaign. We strongly encourage you to consider supporting this important program, which has such a positive effect on the healthcare offerings we are able to provide people in our state and beyond.

If you are not familiar with the program, the YES campaign is an internal fund-raising drive in which employees make a gift to the MUSC healthcare program of their choice. Some choose to support medical research, while others contribute to scholarships, or community outreach programs. There are more than 300 funds to choose from, so you should be able to find a program that has special meaning to you.

Two years ago, we created a YES Campaign undesignated fund, which allows the University to respond to emerging needs.  Already, this fund has enabled us to purchase new equipment for patient rooms in the Children’s Hospital, medicine and supplies for a free clinic, and other worthy projects.

As part of the Medical University of South Carolina family, we all play a unique and vital role in raising the standard of health in this state. The YES Campaign provides us with a way to go beyond what we do as part of our day-to-day jobs, helping save lives and improve the quality of life for countless people in South Carolina and elsewhere. Please join us in supporting this purpose by saying “YES” to this year’s campaign.

Sincerely,
