Family: Two sons Michael, 16, Nicholas, 13 and two dogs, Fudge and Patsy.

Favorite TV program: West Wing.

Favorite book: The Red Tent by Anita Diamant and the Left Behind series.

Favorite food: Anything chocolate.

Favorite restaurant: Peninsula Grill.

Favorite chore: Working in my yard.

Item that is a must in your refrigerator: Soy sauce, my sons have it on everything!

Pet peeve: Hearing someone say: “It's not my job!”

Something you need to work on: My closet, it's a mess!

Childhood nickname: My father called me Shorty.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? Working with employees from all areas of the university and authority. I have a wonderful staff!

What is your biggest personal challenge? Recovering from Guillian Barre Syndrome.

Accomplishment you are most proud of: My two sons!

Funniest thing you have seen on the job: I can't say—I am bound to confidentiality.

If you could switch with someone for a day? I would enjoy working as a landscape architect.

Hobbies, activities in your free time: Gardening, travel and reading a book at Folly Beach.

Most treasured material possession: My father's college ring.

Something people don't know about you: I am addicted to marshmallow peeps and the Home and Garden channel!
