Favorite book: The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks.

Favorite publication: I read a lot of inspirational daily quotes: “With God, anything is possible!”

Favorite movie: Star Wars.

Favorite food: Seafood, scallops in particular.

Favorite restaurant: Andolini’s.

Favorite chore: Cooking.

Favorite ingredient to cook: Pasta.

Favorite street: East Ashley on Folly Beach, down by the lighthouse.

Pet peeve: Laziness.

Best perk: Working with so many great people.

What do you find most rewarding about your job? When patients and families become educationally aware of their disease and devise a manageable treatment plan.

What is your biggest personal challenge? To get more caring people involved in the nursing profession.

Accomplishment that has given you great satisfaction: Recognition by my peers as nurse of the year.

What do you do in your free time: I jog at 5 am every morning, and I read 1 - 2 hours every night.

Something people don’t know about you: That I studied Funeral Directing and worked in a funeral home all through nursing school.
