Women's club elects 2001-2002 officers

The Medical University Women's Club installed the new 2001-2002 Board of Directors at its annual meeting which was held at the Storm Eye Institute Conference Arena. 

The 2001-2002 Board of Directors are: Barbara Warburton, seated from left, immediate past president; Susanne Banks, president; Jan Maize, secretary; Patricia Fylstra, vice president. The club sponsors approximately $8,000 in scholarships eachyear to deserving students who attend the Medical University. 

Other projects include donating eyeglasses to the Lions Club, giving teddy bears to the cancer and transplant patients, flowers to the heart and neurosurgery patients and filling wish lists from the various medical center nursing units. The MUSC Women's Club is made uup of faculty and staff, spouses, managers and administrators of the Medical Univeristy.

Among several fundraising projects is the joint participation with the Charleston County Medical Auxiliary on GhostWalk Charleston, a walking tour of several downtown sites where authenic ghost stories are told by costumed actors.
