Name: Sharon Schwarz.

Department: Pediatric Endocrinology.

How long at MUSC: 6 ½ years.

City you were born: Charleston.

Family: Husband, Andrew; sons, Drew, 11 and Matt, 7. We also have a rescued Greyhound, Larry, and my son’s Bearded Dragon, Lizzy.

Favorite music: Country or disco.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Diet soda or coffee.

Special place in the world to you: Anywhere with my children.

Least favorite chore. Laundry.

Bad habit: Drinking diet sodas.

Pet peeve: People who are late.

Mentor/person you admire the most: My grandmother.

What do you do in your free time: Jogging.

How do you stay fit: Jogging.

Biggest challenge: Balancing being a mom and working.

Dream vacation: Go on a cruise with my family.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Helping children.

Personality trait you admire in others: Kindness.

Three things that mean a lot to you: Honesty, kindness and organization.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do: Spend it with my children.
