How long at MUSC: 12 years with the medical students notetaking service and another 12 years with the MUSC Press.

Family: Husband of 42 years, Kenneth. Daughters: Kim, Kay and Tara.

Favorite TV show: 48 Hours.

Fondest childhood memory: The time spent with my grandmother—she let me play with her treadle, she taught me to sew.

Bad habit: Taking on more than I have time to do.

Pet peeve: Rude, arrogant people.

Plans for the future: Spending more time enjoying my family and friends when I retire.

Person you admire the most: My mother for her ability to make the best of things and always putting her children first.

What do you do in your free time: I like to sew.

Best piece: The quilts that I have made for my daughters when they got married.

Biggest challenge: At work, I try to do my job without stepping on the toes of others; in my personal life, I try to be a good mother without interfering.

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would you be? I would not like to trade places with anyone—even for a day!

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do? Finish my tax return.
