Meet...Jean 

Name: Jean Richards.

Department: Dietary.

How long at MUSC: 23 years.

Family: Four boys and 18 grandchildren.

Favorite dish: Seafood casserole stuffing consisting of shrimp, crab, giblets, onion and bell peppers.

Item you must have in your refrigerator: Bacon.

Fondest childhood memory: Playing hopscotch and jackstone.

Hobbies: Reading the Bible. 

Former bad habit: I used to go club hopping.

Biggest challenge: My life was changed after finding God 11 years ago. I am now a member of the Church of the Anointed Temple Outreach Ministry in North Charleston. I participate in the church’s outreach ministry.

What do you do to relax: My friends and church sisters go shopping and to dinner. I like to read the Bible.

Dream vacation: I would like to go to the Bahamas.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Encouraging people, especially family and patients; I am a cancer survivor since 1998 and enjoy sharing scripture with people in need.

Three things that mean a lot to me: God, my family and church family members.

Words of advice: Stay focused on the Lord; he will never forsake you because he loves all of us.
