Meet...Jenny

Name: Jenny Fraylick.

Year and school: 2002 graduate, College of Graduate Studies.

Specialty: Cellular microbiology.

Favorite TV show: American Experience on PBS.

Favorite professor or class: Dr. Jean-Michel Goust—Immunology.

Favorite room in your house:  The kitchen. I live on the third floor of an old Charleston house, my kitchen is very bright and airy, and I have a great view of the rooftops!

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Starbucks Java Chip ice cream.

Bad habit: Buying flip-flops.

Plans for the future: I would like to teach Microbiology and do reasearch on some really nasty microbe.

Mentor: Pathology's Dr. Joan Olson—she's such a positive person and a great role model for a young scientist!

Activities in your free time: Shopping, kayaking, reading, and cooking.

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would you be? A zoo veterinarian.

Most rewarding thing about your studies: Solving problems and making discoveries that contribute to the advancement of science.

Three things that mean alot to you: Religion, family, and football (I'm a good southern girl afterall).

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do? Grab a bagel and some coffee, head out to the beach to relax, and finish it off with a seafood dinner at The Wreck.

Something people don't know about you: I was a Clemson cheerleader.

Something that you do that is silly but really fun: I try on nailpolish in the store before I buy it—a different color for every finger!
