Human Resources to offer free seminars 

The following Brown Bag Lunch seminars are held from noon to 1 p.m. in room 107 of the Library/Administration Building. The seminars are sponsored by the Department of Human Resources Management and are free to the MUSC community.

Painting Techniques

Are you tired of looking at the same four walls? If so, attend this session to learn which paints are best for which surfaces, how to prep the surface and how to properly apply the new color. Add a little personality to the rooms in your home and give your home a makeover with color and texture.

What’s New with Laser Surgery?

Are you interested in seeing without contacts or glasses?  Solomon, director of Magill Laser Center, will share the latest information on LASIK vision correction and non-LASIK procedures. This includes clear lens extractions, implantable contact lenses, and corneal inlays.  If you have been told you are not a candidate for LASIK, there may still be a treatment option for you. Come learn the latest in LASIK and other hot topics.

Lawn Maintenance

Laying Tile and Pouring Concrete

Are you ready to learn how to lay tile in your kitchen, bathroom, or maybe on your patio? Do you need a sidewalk or small concrete area in your yard? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this workshop is for you. You will learn what to purchase, how to mix, and how to properly lay tile or concrete. It will be fun and save you lots of money!

Wallpaper and Borders

Do you need to perk up some areas in your home with wallpaper or borders? Learn how to prep the surface and install wallpaper and/or borders.  You will feel confident doing your own wallpaper after seeing just how easy it is to install.  

Brick Laying

 Learn the basics of small masonry and brick laying. Create a brick accent wall to enhance your landscape or other do-it-yourself projects. Attend this session and learn just how simple it is.
