Departments receive money from fund

Congratulations to the following departments who received grants from the YES Undesignated Fund:
  • Division of Pediatric Emergency/Critical Care for training in pediatric resuscitation.
  • Department of Pediatrics for the Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center.
  • Department of Radiology for the Oasis de Esperanza (Oasis of Hope) Hispanic Medical Clinic.
  • College of Medicine, Class of 2005, for the Enterprise Community Health Center.
  • Department of Pediatrics and Psychiatry for supporting children and families with HIV.
  • Department of PCICU for the Children’s Heart Program at MUSC.
  • Department of Trauma Education for educating children K-12 in the Charleston area.
Seven grants are being awarded this year with a funding amount totaling around $17,000.

There was an overwhelming response this year with grant applications to the YES Campaign. Sixty-one applicants submitted projects totaling more than $130,000.
Hopefully, next year more projects will be able to be funded based on the money raised through the YES Undesignated Fund through the 2002 YES Campaign.

Employees can still contribute to the YES Campaign through the Web site at http://www.musc.edu/catalyst/2002yespledgeform.htm.
