Name: Maureen V. Decker.

Department: Clinical services nurse manager on 7W: Orthopaedics, Trauma and Plastic Surgery.

How long at MUSC: On and off for 16 years.  I started at MUSC as a new graduate in 1986.

Continuing Education: Graduate student in the Nursing Systems Management Program.

Family: My husband of nine years, Allen.

Favorite TV show: Third Watch.

Favorite professor or class: Reserve comment until after graduation.

Favorite book: Any book by John Grisham.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Real Vermont cheddar cheese.

Fondest childhood memory: A 1973 family vacation to Myrtle Beach. Thirteen hours with nine people in a station wagon. Need I say more!

Bad habit: Chewing gum.

Pet peeves: When people throw cigarette butts out the car window and people who speed through school zones.

Biggest personal challenge: Staying on a healthy diet.

Your idea of a perfect vacation: Lying on the beach in the Carribean without a telephone or T.V. 

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would you be: The president of the United States.

Memorable or latest trip: Ireland in 1997.

Guests at fantasy dinner: My four grandparents and my husband's four grandparents. 

Personality trait you admire in others: Wittiness.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do: Sleep.

Something people don’t know about you:  I have five brothers and one sister.
