Meet...Dru

Name: Dru Thomas.

Department: MUSC Community Training Center.

How long at MUSC: 2 months. I worked here for five years, 20 years ago in Infection Control.

Family: Husband, Don; son, Bryan, 27; daughter, Ashleigh, 21; granddaughter, Victoria, 4. Pets: Rudy, 5, and Lucy, 4, miniature dachshunds; Montana, 2, and Oakley, 1, chocolate labs.

Favorite reading: My Beloved's Israel by Gloria Cavallero.

Favorite room in the house: The den.

Favorite section of the paper: Garage sales.

Favorite TV show: CSI.

Favorite holiday recipe: Pecan Tarts. It's a recipe that my mother-in-law gave me.

Pet peeve: Adults lying.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Seeing the training center grow.

Words of advice: My grandfather gave me this advice: “Words are cheap. Once said, you can never take them back—they have already done their damage.”
