Society to sponsor writing class Jan. 21

The Apple Tree Society is sponsoring a Brown Bag Series, Writing Across the Colleges.

The first in the three-part series, “Shaped by Writing at Harvard: Implications for MUSC,” will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 21, in room 405 of the Library/Administration Building.

This series is led by Jennie Ariail, Ph.D., and Tom Smith, Ph.D., from the Center for Academic Excellence and the Writing Center.

Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credit will be available. Upon completion of the session, participants will be able to describe the purposes for incorporating writing into curricula and to apply research on writing to an academic health center setting.

MUSC is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
