Annual pumpkin, costume contests to be held Oct. 29

Guys and ghouls, enjoy a frighteningly good and ghastly time on Friday, Oct. 29, as MUSC Dietary Department hosts the annual Great Pumpkin and Costume contests. Everyone is encouraged to use their creativity in designing their best-ever costume or pumpkin idea. Both contests will be held in the MUSC cafeteria.

The costume contest begins at 1 p.m  Oct. 29 with the annual Parade of Costumes. Each participant will be judged on originality, personality, theme and creativity. Winners will be announced immediately following the parade.

Participants should meet in front of the gift shop no later than 12:45 p.m., where they will receive their assigned numbers.

The 13th annual Great Pumpkin Contest will begin Oct. 28. Participants may pick up their pumpkins in the cafeteria entrance, noon until 2 p.m. Oct. 25, and return them by Oct. 27.

Pumpkin entries will be displayed in the cafeteria until judging. Winners will be announced at noon Oct. 29. Participants do not have to be present for the ceremonies.

All displays must be removed by 2 p.m. Oct. 29.

For information, call 792-3560.
