Recent advancements in cataract surgery not only help restore sight and vision impairments, but also improve many other aspects of a patient’s overall life as well.

Viewers will have the opportunity to watch leading cataract surgeons perform delicate surgery and lens replacement procedures and hear from recipients of these procedures before, during and after their surgeries. The program visits four patients from different backgrounds whose lives were transformed after receiving ground-breaking cataract surgery.

The program is co-hosted by renowned eye surgeon Richard Mckool, M.D. It explores the latest techniques and breakthroughs in cataract and refractive surgery. Joining Mckool and  Solomon is Stephen Lane, M.D., president of the American Society of Cataracts and Refractive Surgery.

The program explores the effects of cataracts, cataract -removal technologies, advanced lens technologies, and the newest treatments and surgeries to improve the quality of life of people affected by cataracts. Several patients are featured who undergo actual cataract and refractive surgeries during the program, with Solomon and Mckool performing the procedures.
