MUSC Rumor Mill separates fact from fiction

Brett's at Wickliffe
Rumor: I heard a nasty rumor that Brett's at Wickliffe House has stopped doing lunch. Are we going to lose another good lunch spot again?
Truth: The rumor is true. Brett's decided to discontinue operations at the Wickliffe House, with the exception of a few previously contracted events (e.g., wedding receptions). The University Health Sciences Foundation is currently in negotiations with other restaurant and catering firms to occupy  the Wickliffe House. The goal is to have a commercial tenant who can provide both a quality lunch and catered event service.

Parking
Rumor: I heard that the Charleston Memorial Parking Garage was being sold to MUSC, and that current persons parking in this facility will be booted out of their space or that the fees for this garage will increase dramatically. What is the truth?
Truth: MUSC is negotiating with Charleston County to purchase the County Garage, located immediately west of CMH. Acquiring this property is a logical and needed step in the development of the university hospital on Doughty Street. The sale is not final, but MUSC is optimistic that it will go through. There are no immediate plans to remove MUSC-associated parkers from the garage. In the future, there may be a rotation of some current MUSC occupants to open the facility for patient/visitor use. This would not happen until other planned parking facilities are completed (CHS Garage and the
planned hospital garage at Bee and Courtenay). Occupants of the garage will continue to pay rates as set for the MUSC parking system. There are no plans to have a separate rate for those parking in this garage.
