Meet...Peggy

Name: Peggy Schachte.

Department: Office of Research Develop-ment.

How long at MUSC: My first day at MUSC was May 5, 1969.

Family: Husband, Hal Currey; and children, Anna, Elizabeth, Chris, Kathleen, Nancy, and Patrick. We also have a big cat, Elvis.

Favorite reading: The New Yorker.

Favorite section of the paper: The comics.

Favorite Web site: Google.

Ingredients you must have in your refrigerator: Beer, wine, and garlic.

Fondest childhood memory: Going places with my father.

A day you would like to relive: A beautiful, long summer evening at Skagen in Denmark.

Bad habit: Not knowing when to quit.

Hobbies: Gardening and reading fiction.

What is your biggest challenge at work: So much to do, and so little time.

Something you tried once and will never do again: The bullet ride at Coney Island.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Constant challenges, continuous learning.

Something people don't know about you: I am half Danish.

Dream vacation: Traveling anywhere.
