Apple Tree Society Teaching Tip of the Month

The Apple Tree Society will provide a teaching tip each month.  If you have a tip  to share, e-mail Mary Mauldin, chair, Apple Tree Society, at mauldinm@musc.edu.
  • In front of the class, model the process you go through as you create complex multiple-choice questions. Then ask students or groups of students to create test questions. These activities require critical thinking and can be used for small or large classes. You are also asking students to write, which will help them think critically and use writing as a tool for learning.
