Chapter accepting abstracts for presentation

The Carolinas and Georgia Chapter of the American Society of Hypertension Inc. (ASH) will hold its Annual Business Meeting at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Wild Dunes Resort in Hilton Head. The Chapter is accepting abstracts and posters for presentation during the meeting.

Applications must be received in office by June 1. All applications should be made via e-mail to hallatt@musc.edu.

The individual listed as presenter will receive all correspondence from the Association, via e-mail.

The body of the abstract should be organized as follows: Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion/Conclusion.

The Association reserves the right to withdraw a paper/poster at any time.

Poster exhibits are limited to individuals, educational facilities, and hospitals. No commercial poster exhibits are permitted. We will accept only freestanding posters measuring approximately 36” by 24” (standard poster size). Easels for presentation will be provided by ASH. Authors must provide a heading that includes the title of the poster, author(s), and affiliation for their posters. Set-up is 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26. Dismantle is after 7 p.m. on the same day.

Notification of acceptance: Abstracts will be forwarded to the sections for review. Notification will be sent to the presenting author in June via e-mail.

Authors must pay all room charges and conference registration fees as applicable. Those authors who choose not to attend the SMA Conference must pay a $20 registration fee to present at ASH’s Annual Business Meeting.
