Name: Cyndi Weiss, RNC.

Department: Neonatal ICU.

How long at MUSC: 8 years.

City you were born: Buffalo, N.Y.

Favorite reading: Mysteries by Sue Grafton and The Greatest Generation by Tom Brokaw.

Least favorite chore: Grocery shopping.

Ingredient I must have in refrigerator: Wine and cheese.

Fondest childhood memory: Traveling cross-country in the family motor home.

Pet peeve: People who don't accept  responsibility for their actions.

Bad habit: Impatience.

Where/when did you get your nursing degree: I graduated from the same hospital I was born at: Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1979).

Most rewarding thing about being a nurse: The many wonderful people, places, and opportunities my profession has given me.

Activities: Board member—National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN); Peer reviewer—Advances in Neonatal Care, and Journal of NANN.

Something people don't know about you: I used to work as a backup singer in a nightclub.
