  • Sarah Hallman Phelps, M.D.—Resident of the Year for Anesthesia
  • Jay Gottesman, M.D., and Jaime Torres, M.D. —Teachers of the Year nominated by the Residents
Division of Cardiology
  • Cameron S. Guild, M.D. —Voted Cardiology Fellow of the Year by the attendings
  • Valerian Fernandes, M.D.—Voted Faculty of the Year by the fellows
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Bridget Williamson, M.D. and Charles Rittenberg, M.D. —The J. Richard Sosnowski Award (Maternal-Fetal Medicine) for Obstetrics
  • Vikki McKinnie, M.D. —J. Marion Simms Award for Surgical Excellence (Gynecologic Oncology Division)
  • Nick Fogelson, M.D.—The Southeastern Fertility Center Stork Award (Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division)
  • Robert Pereyo, M.D. —The Outstanding Skill in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (Division of Benign Gynecology)
  • Nick Fogelson, M.D. —Lawrence Hester Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement presented to the resident with the most consistently outstanding performance on the CREOG examination
  • Bridget Williamson, M.D. —Resident with the highest medical student evaluations
  • Vikki McKinnie, M.D. —Research Endeavors in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Charles Rittenberg, M.D.—The Residency Spirit Award presented to the chief resident whose spirit most reflects the heart and soul of the MUSC OB/GYN Residency Program
  • Bobby Pereyo, M.D. and his wife, Lalio—The Competition Award presented to the chief resident whose competitive spirit brings out the best in himself and others as an obstetrician/gynecologist and as a human being
  • Matthew Kohler, M.D.—APGO CREOG Faculty Excellence Teaching Award presented to the member of the OB/Gyn faculty selected by chief residents who contributed most to their education 
  • Eugene Chang, M.D.—Completed his fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He will be joining MUSC faculty.
