Meet...Stevie

Name: Stevie Betros.

Department: Volunteer Services/Rutledge Tower Lab Services.

How long at MUSC: 10 years.

Favorite TV show: ER.

First job: Bag boy at Bi-Lo.

Favorite food: Spaghetti and garlic bread.

Special place in the world: USC in Columbia.

First thing you notice about people: Whether they are friendly and kind.

Biggest challenge: Walking back and forth to the lab.

Idea of a perfect vacation: Las Vegas (yes, I play the slots and win).

If you could trade places with someone for a day, who would that be: My brother.

Memorable trip: Hilton Head for a tennis tournament where I won a gold medal.

Most rewarding aspect of your job: I like working in the volunteer center, because it allows me to help people.

Personality trait you admire in others: When someone doesn’t let who or what they are affect how they treat others.

Interesting fact about yourself: I went to the regional Special Olympics in Columbia, at Fort Jackson, where I competed in the backstroke; and I am on my way to compete in a national tennis tournament in Iowa. Also, in the future, I want to own my own Italian restaurant, which will be called, “Edward’s Italian Warehouse.” Edward is my middle name.
