Family: Wife, Amy; children, Lillian, 9, and Davis, 14; springer spaniel, Champ.

Ingredients you must have in your refrigerator: Pickles and salsa.

Hobbies: Golf.

How do you stay fit: Golf.

Biggest challenge: Keeping up (and golf).

Idea of a perfect vacation: Sunny; dry; 78o; daily golf, exercise and a good book.

Memorable trip: Trekking in Torres del Paine National Park in southern Patagonia, Chile.

Most rewarding thing about your job: The people I work with and the families we are able to help.

Personality traits you admire in others: Hard work, integrity, forthrightness.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do: Play golf.

Something people don’t know about you: I’m a licensed master plumber (and love golf —now they know).

Words of advice: When dealing with others, always try to understand where they’re coming from, even if you disagree.

Something that you do that is silly but fun: Sing the Gilligan’s Island theme song after successful catheter ablations.
