Name: Lisa Cunningham, Ph.D.

Department: Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.

Favorite TV show: The West Wing—how could they cancel it?

Favorite place to hang-out in Charleston: My porch at high tide.

Favorite song or type of music: Ike and Tina Turner’s version of Proud Mary.

Least favorite chore: Cleaning out the ‘fridge.

Ingredient you must have in your refrigerator: Pepperoni.

Bad habit: I’m a Chapstick addict.

Pet peeve: Spam e-mails.

Activities: Cycling and kayaking. I’m currently building a wooden kayak.

Biggest challenge: Finding a good post doc—do you know anyone?

Memorable trip: Kayaking in Alaska.

Most rewarding thing about your job: Building my lab and getting good data.

Three things that mean a lot to you: Three antique rings—one each from my mother, my grandmother, and my great-grandmother.

If you suddenly had a free day, what would you do: Ride my bike to Bennett’s Point and then kayak on the Ashepoo.

Something people don’t know about you: I once shaved my head.
