Women in Medicine Colleagues
The AAMC Women in Medicine Coordinating Committee invites submissions for the “2006 Women in Medicine Call for Abstracts and Posters: Celebrating 30 years of Partnering with Medical Schools.”  
 
AAMC women liaison officers, faculty affairs professionals, diversity program directors and other leaders in academic medicine are encouraged to submit posters and abstracts in three areas: Women in Medicine Programs, Innovative Diversity Programs and the Influence of Gender Schemas in Academic Medicine. Submission deadline is July 21. For submission guidelines go to http://www.aamc.org/members/wim/wimposters.pdf.

2006 AAMC Women in Medicine Leadership Development Awards committee seek nominations
The AAMC’s Women in Medicine Leadership Development Awards committee is accepting nominations for its 2006 honorees. The awards recognize individual and organizational contributions to advancing women leaders in academic medicine. The two awards will be presented Oct. 31 during the Women in Medicine Award Luncheon in Seattle, Wash. Award winners receive an inscribed plaque and a complimentary registration (valued at $1,080) for one of the AAMC’s Women Faculty Development Seminars. Nominations must be received by July 28.
