What led you to choose social work as a career: My love of wanting to learn about people who are different from myself.

Best advice given to you: My father would say, ‘Be very careful in your business affairs, for the world has a game for you, and it's how to get your hard earned money out of your hands and into theirs.’

One piece of advice to share with social workers starting at work at MUSC: Our success or failure, as an institution, is dependent on how well we can work together as a team.
