1. A brief summary explaining the project (not to exceed one page). Your grant will be denied
without the summary.

2. Describe how the request would improve your department’s ability to positively impact the mission of the Medical University of South Carolina. (not to exceed one paragraph)

3. List other sources of support and the amount to which they support your program.

4. Include detailed budget to show how the requested grant will be allocated for your program (must be submitted with proposal to be considered).

All grants must be in compliance with the MUSC Foundation guidelines. Grants cannot be made for any
requests of unallowable expenses as defined by the MUSC Foundation. All research projects must be
approved by University Research Committee before grant application can be accepted.
