Stork delivers female robot

It’s a girl! Leuk Hallwalker and Carry O’Cyte, MUSC’s first robot couple, proudly announce the arrival of their firstborn, Sue Plies. Weighing 600 pounds, five ounces, Leuk and Carry’s bundle of bytes will soon be carrying deliveries from Central Suppy to nursing units throughout the Medical Center.

Beth Tufts of Security submitted the winning name for the newest addition to MUSC’s robot family. She will receive dinner for two at the Wickliffe House.

Ninety-nine people submitted more than 160 entries in the Name the Robot Contest. Sue is scheduled to be out of the cradle and begin work in November.
