Course held for postdoctoral fellows on research conduct


A course on the Responsible Conduct of Research is being offered to all postdoctoral fellows from 8:30 to 10 a.m. beginning Oct. 8 in the Institute of Psychiatry North, room 526.

The course, which will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays for six weeks, will hold informal discussions of case scenarios having to do with scientific research ethics such as mentor÷student÷institution relationships; scientific record keeping; data ownership; intellectual property; authorship (ie. who gets to be first); plagiarism; peer review and research; genetic technology; public moneyöprivate gain or for profit science; and whistleblower rights.
