Day ‘98 brings stiff competition
Competition was tough on Friday, Nov. 6, for the 33rd annual Research Day. Maria K. Neff, left, College of Nursing, explains her theories of “Breastfeeding Knowledge” to judge Dr. Maureen R. Keefe, dean, College of Nursing. Two hundred three presentations took place at l5 minute intervals that included oral and poster presentations. Teams of four judges evaluated each session and graded on scientific content, subject matter, clarity and quality of delivery.
Library awards prizes Additional prizes were given from the library for Informatic/Bioinformatics. Wenle Zhao was the winner with his presentation titled “A New Treatment Allocation Method for Randomized Controlled Clinical Trials.” Martina Mueller was runner up with her presentation titled “Developing an Internet Query System in a Multicenter Clinical Trial.” |
