SGA
president updates students on events
by Gretchen Wriston, MUSC SGA President On behalf of the MUSC Student Government Association, I would like to welcome you back! I hope you all enjoyed your holiday vacation and are looking forward to an exciting spring semester. Our calendar is loaded with a variety of activities and entertainment. In addition, I would like to give you an update on what your MUSC Student Government Association has been working on for this semester. SGA Happenings and Upcoming Events... The SGA has a great spring calendar of events already planned. Some highlights include the “MUSC Winetasting” (which includes an educational seminar before the party), the “SGA/CON Oyster Roast,” and “Fat Tuesday in the Horseshoe.” In addition, we will continue our concert series at the St. Luke's Chapel. And, of course, “Alhambra!” For you rookies out there or for those of you who might need a refresher course about Alhambra, it is an annual springfest held at Boone Hall Plantation. It entails great bands (this year featuring “Velveeta”), tug-a-war, bungee runs and much more. Alhambra is one of SGA's biggest events and is scheduled for April 10. Mark your calendars for the must attend event. Down to Business...
Finally, feel free to contact me through e-mail at wristoga@musc.edu or phone 577-3992 with any of your comments or ideas. Enjoy this spring and I look forward to hearing from you! |
